Life Giver

Crucial to life
Yet so humble
Has no form
Willing to transform
Takes on The shape
Imposed upon it
Bottle, bowl
Bucket, barrel
Can, carton
Jar, jug
Pitcher, pot
Tumbler, tube
Tub, tank …
Rich in virtues
Refreshes, renews
Makes music
Pleasing acoustic
Songs of joy
For all to enjoy
Purifies all it touches
As it runs along
Squeezed through
Slit-like crevices
Pushed brutally
Over rocks
Violently thrashed
While landing on stone
No complaints
About restraints
Polluted by nature
Mostly by humans
Purifies itself
Seeking natural filters
Along the way
Remains beautiful
Life giving
Till the very end –
(Whenever that is)
Let me be at least a fraction
Of what water
IS
