Ahoy!
A warm and hearty welcome dear friend to my thought-island. If poetry and quotations are your kettle of fish, you have washed up on the right shore. So dry yourself and get comfy.
Then dig out your angling gear
And poise yourself to swish
Perched next to me right here
For there’s plenty here to fish
I don't profess to be an erudite poet or philosopher, but I have had a natural philosophic slant since I was knee-high. I write for the sheer pleasure of giving expression to some of the thoughts passing perpetually through my mind.
This site opened in October 2011 solely to share these thoughts with those who might find they rhyme with theirs.
My writing is untutored and I have found pleasure and comfort in writing stuff since my adolescence. Between then and now there have been years at a time when I didn't write.
I coined the word "poeticambles" as my site title. I like coining words and you will occasionally come across such a word in my poems.
My spellings are standard British. So if you are American, please make allowance for this.
You can interpret my poems as you wish. They are exactly what you make of them. Nothing more, nothing less.
